This is a cool technique that will wow your
friends.  Everyone puzzles over how the
colors are stamped on black!  This is the
July Stamp of the Month - Snap, Crackle,
Pop.

You'll need:
Exclusive Inks™ Markers
White Daisy Cardstock
Embossing Ink or Versamark* Ink
Clear Embossing Powder
Heat tool
Rubber brayer
Black Exclusive Ink™
My Acrylix™ stamps and block
Paper towels

Step 1:
Use markers to color irregular areas on
cardstock.  Exclusive Inks™ markers have a
brush tip end that works great for this.  (The
other end is a fine point perfect for
journaling or details).  Dry the cardstock with
your heat tool or leave for a few hours.

Step 2:
Arrange your My Acrylix™ stamps on a large
block (I use the 4.5" x 6" block) to create a
scene you like.  My Acrylix™ give you the
flexibility to stamp an entire scene at once!

Step 3:
Stamp with embossing ink or Versamark*.
Apply a generous amount of clear
embossing powder.  Dump the powder off in
your craft tray or scrap paper and return it
to the jar.  Use a small paint brush to
remove any excess powder.  Heat the
powder with your heat tool until it melts.

Step 4:
Using the rubber brayer to apply black ink to
the entire piece of cardstock.  This will take
several applications.  The embossed areas
will resist the black ink.  Our new, patented
Exclusive Inks™ and pads that keep ink at
the pad surface make this step easy.

Step 5:
Gently wipe any excess black ink off the
embossed areas with a paper towel.
 Clean
your brayer with water and dish soap if
needed.

Wow!
Learn from my mistakes!
1.  Be sure the colored cardstock is completely dry.  Otherwise the embossing powder will stick to the entire sheet.
2.  Put your stamps aside before you emboss.  The powder really sticks to the My Acrylix™!
2.  Be sure to remove any stray particles of embossing powder.  You can gently blow on it or use a small, stiff
paintbrush (probably a better option - see #3).  Anywhere the powder is will show as colored specks when you finish.
3.  Do not blow on your project (to remove excess powder) while the powder you dumped off is in front of you.  You'll
have a big mess and lose a lot of your powder!
4.  Pay attention when you heat the powder; you only need to heat until the powder melts.  Cardstock will singe and
turn brown (and probably catch on fire if you keep going).

5.  Store your brayer with the rubber part facing up.  Otherwise it will end up with a flat side.
