Step 1: Stamp your image onto white cardstock or glossy cardstock with White Daisy Exclusive Ink™ or Versamark* ink. You will be able to see a faint image.

Step 2: Gently apply soft chalks to the image using enclosed pixie and pudgy applicator. You can also use eye-shadow applicators, pom-poms, cotton balls or q-tips. The stamped image will pop out as you chalk. If you make a mistake you can touch up with a chalk eraser.

Step 3: Set the chalk so it won't rub off on your page protector or card. Turn the image face down on a sheet of plain newsprint paper (like a doodle pad; not a newspaper). Firmly rub all over the back of the image. You can also set chalk with hairspray or matte finish spray. I prefer the first method since it keeps the paper acid free.

You can also use chalks to color open stamp images, add a little color around an image or highlight torn edges.

Learn from my mistakes: A regular eraser does not work well with chalks. Be sure to set your chalked images before putting the page in a page protector or it will smear. Don't press hard on the chalk; it will break!
